Migration Services
Our solutions architects plan and carry out the transfer of your servers, databases, storage, applications, email and DNS from your current provider to Suburban Cloud. Migration assistance is complimentary for new customers, subject to an agreed scope.

Assisted Migration
Moving infrastructure between providers requires careful planning to protect data and maintain service availability. Our team works with yours to assess the existing environment, design the target architecture on Suburban Cloud and carry out the transfer in a controlled sequence.
Each migration follows a written plan with defined rollback points, and no change is made for your users until your team has tested the new environment.
Supported Source Environments
Migration assistance is available from the following platforms. Other environments are assessed on request.
Amazon Web Services
EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 buckets and Route 53 zones, transferred to Elastic Compute, Managed Databases, Object Storage and Suburban DNS.
DigitalOcean
Droplets, managed databases, Spaces and App Platform applications, transferred to their Suburban Cloud equivalents.
cPanel and Shared Hosting
WordPress, Laravel and PHP websites, MySQL databases and mailboxes, transferred to App Engine and Business Email.
Migration Process
Each stage is reviewed and approved by your team before the next begins.
Step 1: Assessment
We review your workloads, data volumes, dependencies and any regulatory constraints.
Step 2: Migration Plan
We provide a written plan covering the target architecture, sequence, rollback points and an agreed cut-over window.
Step 3: Transfer and Testing
Data is copied and services are rebuilt in parallel, and your team tests them before any change is made for users.
Step 4: Cut-Over and Handover
DNS is updated within the agreed window. Our team monitors the transition and then hands the environment over to you.
What Can Be Migrated
Virtual Machines
Servers rebuilt or imported onto Nutanix AHV, with data volumes synchronised before cut-over.
Databases
PostgreSQL and MySQL data restored to Managed Databases, with replication during cut-over where the source supports it.
Applications and Containers
Git repositories and Dockerfiles rebuilt on App Engine, with environment variables carried over.
Object Storage
Objects copied to S3-compatible Object Storage. Applications require only a new endpoint and access keys.
Domains and DNS
DNS zones recreated in Suburban DNS, with record lifetimes reduced in advance of the change.
Mailboxes transferred to Business Email on your own domain.
