Overview

Elastic Compute is suited to application servers, line-of-business systems, development environments and any workload that requires full control of the operating system. Instances are provisioned from the Suburban Console or the API, connected to private networks and managed alongside your other Suburban Cloud services.

Getting Started

  1. 1.Select an operating system image and an instance size in the Suburban Console.
  2. 2.Choose a private network, security groups and SSH keys, and specify whether a public IP address is required.
  3. 3.Connect over SSH or from the console, then resize, take snapshots or attach volumes as your requirements change.

Key Features

Enterprise Virtualisation

Instances run on Nutanix AHV hyper-converged clusters operated by Suburban in Abuja.

NVMe Block Storage

Boot disks and additional volumes are hosted on NVMe storage. Snapshots can be taken before changes and restored from the console.

Browser-Based Access

Administrators can open an SSH session directly from the console without a local client or VPN.

Recovery Console

A VNC console provides access to each instance at the hardware level, including when network access is unavailable.

Automated Configuration

SSH keys and cloud-init scripts can be supplied at launch so that servers are configured on first boot.

Private Networking

Instances can be placed in private networks behind security groups, with public IP addresses assigned only where required.
